Nadim Kurani was born in Beirut, Lebanon in 1965 and lives in Southern California. He immigrated to the United States in 1986 where he earned his Bachelor of Architecture/cum laude and received the Faculty Award from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

Nadim is a multimedia artist working in sculpture, and is drawn to working with existing objects, both natural and industrial. Through visceral imagination and methodical execution, he deconstructs objects and re-forms them into made-again hybrids.

In 1994 Nadim created his first works of art, casting concrete around off-the-shelf bits of hardware and making unique industrial creations. The artwork was used on set design for CBS/David Copperfield 15 Years of Magic (1994), and Warner Brothers/Batman and Robin (1997). His work also was featured in WIRED magazine (May 1997) and Playboy magazine (January 1999.)

Nadim kept art as a hobby while pursuing his other career interests as an architectural designer and communication artist.

Almost 20 years later, in 2019, he made a commitment to return to his true passion for creating art professionally, combining years of fascination with rocks, industrial material, print media, design and architecture.
